2.5.135 Feature Enhancements

New Interdependent Policies Feature

The Interdependent Policies feature allows users to copy policy data from one policy to other policies in the Bridge Specialty Suite, through the configuration of source and target master covers and specified workflow containers that contain the dependent data.

The primary use for the Interdependent Policies feature is the ability to create Excess policies in order to share policy information, such as premium and limits between multiple lines of business. The feature will allow users to write excess policies on top of multiple policies from one or more lines of business.

To enable this feature, please contact your Insurity account representative.

A new Master Cover page has been added called Interdependent Policies in the Screens widget when the feature is enabled on the licensee site. Users can select the Source Master Covers, Data Transfer Workflow Container, and applicable Field Evaluation Rules on this page.

Prior to setting up the Master Cover, users should configure at least one Workflow Container to hold the fields and grids that are to be copied from the source to the target policy. These are referred to as Data Transfer Containers, and must be shared to the appropriate workflow containers.

The Export/Import - Product page has been updated to include the Interdependent Policies page as part of the product/master cover when exporting and importing. Note that users should always export and import the source containers and master covers first as the targets are dependent.

In order to add source policies to a target policy, the source policy transaction/quote version must meet the following criteria:

  • The source policy transaction must be either New Business or Renewal.
  • The source policy status must be either Incomplete, Quoted, Lost, or Bound.
  • The source policy correction type must be either Void or Offset.
  • The Client must be the same across all policies and only Assured companies are supported.
  • The policies must be part of a Master Cover that is of the same status, either Test or Live, and specified as a source for the target.
  • The policies must overlap by at least one day.
  • The policies must be within the user's administrative scope.

Once the feature is enabled on the licensee site, the Linked Policies, link which opens a modal window, becomes available in the Common Screens widget of a submission. Users with the appropriate security rights can select the source policy transactions and quote versions to link the policies and copy data into the target policy.

New Admin Console Feature

A new feature, Admin Console, has been introduced to the Bridge Specialty Suite and is designed to allow administrative users to make changes to their company's Bound policies without the intervention of Insurity's Data Maintenance process.

A new option has been added to the Reference menu at the top of the Bridge Specialty Suite page. Users with the System Administrator role are able to see and access the Admin Console option. In the event a user attempts to access the feature without this role, an "unauthorized user" error message is displayed. Users can navigate back to the home page by clicking on the link.

Some of the key features of the Admin Console are the ability to update clients and distributors across all policies related to the client or distributor, update the policy number at both the term and policy level, and shift policy dates.

  • For details on all related functionality of the Admin Console feature, see the Admin Console section.

Invoice Grouping by Insured and Bill to Party

A new option Bill to Party/Insured has been added to the Billing Entities - General Settings Billing page to group invoices by a Bill to Party and Insured in order to generate invoices with Insured/Bill to Party details.
